Musically Motivated. Rhythm Driven.

Music has always been a funlight in my life. From Tchaikovsky to Thunderbirds, Stevie Wonder to Sugababes, being exposed to many music artists and styles has been a positive influence. It is a joy and a privilege to share how the input has become an output!

I discovered percussion "by accident" when living in East London in the late eighties, and have used it to perform in churches and bands. I have performed with a soul funk band which supported the Average White Band and the James Taylor Quartet.

As a solo performer I have also raised funds for the British Heart Foundation, and provided percussion workshops for parties and schools. I have also held a busking license to perform on the London Underground. I had some great times in the 5 years of performing. And to cap it all, as a result of my efforts, I have performed for Royalty!

I have enjoyed dancing for much of my life, and am so grateful for discovering Modern Jive in the form of "Ceroc" Dancing, in London in the late eighties. Since then I have danced at several venues across the country for over 20 years, meeting great people and having great adventures along the way. It has also helped to broaden my interest in music, as Ceroc embraces many music genres, from rock and roll and swing through to Chart Music, R&B and also Latin rhythms.

As a partner dance style, Ceroc is easy to learn and great for socialising, and I would recommend it to anyone - especially for those who have "First Dances" to think about for Weddings!

This has been put to good use as I became a DJ for Ceroc in the early noughties. I delivered music for dance classes, as well as freestyle and weekender events across the UK. I now have a regular DJ role providing music for Ceroc NI events.

As I gained in confidence, I have been able to dance with other guests while delivering the music at the same time. And you thought men could not multi-task...?  Around the same time I started delivering music for house party events. People at the events said that I did a good job... so I kept working at it, and got invited to deliver at weddings, parties and corporate events.

I am also a member of Belfast Toastmasters, a public speaking club which supports me as I enhance my presentation skills.
